Welcome Alumni
As a freshman, I remember hearing about the new
High School that was opening in the fall of 2000. I’m sure most of you were
faced with the same decision I was, whether to go or stay. The idea of a new
program was intimidating and exciting at the same time. I remember band camp
the first year on the baseball field not knowing exactly how many people we
would have and very unsure of what was waiting for us in the future. Think
of how much the program has grown since then. We went from the Old South
Marching Festival where we performed in exhibition to 4 years later placing
2nd at Grand Nationals! It was the dedication of the directors,
students and parents that got the program where it is today. Now most of us
have gone our separate ways on to bigger and better things, but I hope we
will try to keep in touch as much as possible and continue to support the
program that meant so much to us.
