BOOSTER COMMITTEES
About the Committees
The Kennesaw Mountain High School Band Booster
organization has a number of committees that support the band program. We
can always use more hands and minds to help out. If you are interested in
helping us make the Kennesaw Mountain band program the best that it can be by
serving on one of the committees, please continue reading.
Help is needed throughout the year, and not only during marching season.
Here is a list of the committees:
Chaperones
Chaperones monitor student behavior as
described by the student handbook, chaperone training, and ultimately the
Directors. Chaperones are needed at all band functions; such as band camp,
practices, football games, competitions, festivals, and any other function
where we travel as a group.
Sponsorship
The Sponsorship/Fundraiser committee is responsible for raising funds to help
support the band program. We will have the following successful fund-raising
events:
- Birdies for Charity
- Pancake Breakfast
- Pizza sales
- Honey Baked Ham
gift certificate
- Restaurant night at local places in our community
- Car
washes
- Garage sale
Hospitality
The Hospitality Committee makes arrangements for refreshments at events
throughout the year and organizes the end-of-year banquet.
Winterguard
The Winterguard Committee is responsible for the safety,
well-being, and general preparedness of the winterguard members.
Colorguard
The Color Guard Committee is responsible for the safety,
well-being, and general preparedness of the color guard members.
Uniform
The Uniform Committee is responsible for the uniforms and concert
attire worn by the band. These responsibilities include fitting, alterations,
and cleaning.
Spirit Wear
The Spirit Wear Committee sells Kennesaw Mountain Band
novelty and spirit items to our fans during home football games and every KMBO
event. You can also purchase items online at www.kmbo.org.
Visual
The Visual Committee makes video recordings and takes still pictures of the
students at all band events. Dave Bonislawski is the coordinator, does a
wonderful job, and will need some help running video cameras, taking pictures,
and especially with organizing the year-end videos which is presented at the
band banquet.
