In our brief eight-year history, Kennesaw Mountain High School (KMHS) has been recognized as having
one of the nation's leading music education programs helping hundreds of students exceed in
performance and leadership roles in music, in classrooms, in college and in our communities.

The characteristics of our music programs include commitment,
consistency and community. Students learn that it is
through personal commitment to move in harmony with others
towards a common goal that allows for the achievement of a
greater good.
The sounds of our success can be heard in our music, in the
cheers from the football stands, to the applause in the concert
halls, and in the quiet confidence of our students who learn
that if they are committed, they can achieve.
Our students learn attributes and skills that improve their
educational experience and promote leadership, scholarships,
community recognition, and improved careers.
Our students answer the call to perform various charity
events and volunteer their time to work hands-on in serving the
needs of our community.
Our students learn to live the adage:

The KMHS Marching Band's reputation to entertain and convey a
message ranks highly in the hearts of fans throughout the world
and continues with this year's show:
"The Gift" performance focuses on the strength
of our communities and our country in three parts:
- The first movement
highlights the strength and simplicity of giving with an
incredible blend of audio and visual coordination.
- The second movement
emphasizes the real and emotional importance of the gift of
life through highly energized music, colors and formations.
- The third movement
recognizes our gift of freedom through a musical collage
noting the intricate connection between life and freedom.
