Mike Kania
The Kennesaw Mountain Band Program has
created an atmosphere of high achievement for all its members and
supporters. The program has encouraged and challenged our son to strive for
individual discipline as a member of a team.
All performing ensembles require individual
performance and a commitment to teamwork. Every participant is expected and
encouraged to perform at their highest level for the benefit of the entire
team. The discipline that our son has acquired will serve him well
throughout his life, both personally and professionally.
The successes of the program are not at the
expense of the most important element in life, which is to have fun. In
pursuit of its goals, the program has created a positive atmosphere of
enjoyment. No members are left behind. The fun is not reserved just for
the students; parents and band supporters all share in the enjoyment.
As a lifelong supporter of athletics, I am
proud to say that I have changed my preference to the performing arts. I
encourage those parents that wish to involve their children in this program,
to contact band parents for their input and support. I also encourage
parental involvement, to ensure this nationally recognized band program
receives the support it so richly deserves.
