Colleen McHugh
Being a part of the
band program (speaking from a marcher’s point of view) has a lot of
excellent qualities. Even though it takes a lot of hard work and
dedication, it all pays off in the end. At the beginning of the
season, all you see is work. All you think is “Why am I in this to do
all this work?” But after the first football game or the first
competition, you realize exactly why you were in it. The feeling that
you get is unlike anything you could ever get from any other activity.
You have the feeling of accomplishment, and so many other things. It's
just a great experience in general.
