The Kennesaw Mountain Winterguard program,
consisting of a varsity and junior varsity squad, is currently competing
regionally and nationally in the SCGC and WGI Circuits. After being named
the World Champions of Scholastic A in 2004, the Winterguard advanced into
Scholastic Open for the 2005 season. The successes of the program laid the
foundation for the recent establishment of a junior varsity guard that is
competing in Scholastic A for the 2005 season.
The Varsity guard is on the
way to another very fulfilling year, having been the champions of every
competition so far this season. The varsity guard has competed in two WGI
regionals this season. They are continuing the pursuit of excellence
in and off the performance arenas.
The Junior Varsity guard, performing at SCGC events is
also committed to excellence in performance. The JV guard represents
KMBO and KMHS with pride and dignity. The Winterguard program is fastly
becoming highly recognized and respected throughout the nation. The passion
and dedication of the students and staff are the driving forces behind this
program and will allow for more levels of achievement to be surpassed in the
future.
